"The sword of the Lord is filled with blood"

As a believer, I can't stand it when man is praised so highly.  When man is esteemed so great, it turns my stomach. I can't wait until the Lord is properly glorified. Before this happens, he will have to have his DAY. The Lord says, “Behold, I, [even] I, will bring a sword upon you,”.  God Almighty says,  “When I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at [every] moment”.

He says, “For my sword shall be bathed in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Idumea”.  The Lord proclaims, “I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”

This is not the baby Jesus in the manger. This is not the loving Lord giving the beatitudes or the great commission.  This is not the kind, compassionate teacher that believers have come to know as their Lord and savior. This side of God is more liken to a roaring lion.

One day, maybe long from now, or maybe on the imminent horizon, the whole world will partake in  an event. I think every eye will see it happening in some capacity around the globe.  It will affect the physical characteristics of our globe if not already affected by present or coming tribulation.

There will be no conspiracy to hide it, it will be too big.  It won’t be a ufo, or an alien from outer space.  It won’t be a earth killing meteor that heralds the end of the world.  It will be a King on a white horse with a massive army behind him.

This King, soon coming, is Jesus Christ. It’s often been said by preachers and theologians of Jesus Christ, “The first time he came to earth he came as a lamb, the second time he comes to earth he comes as a lion”.  This is true but it doesn’t even begin to describe that event.  In fact, the word of God is very descriptive about the 2nd Advent and the demeanor of the Lord Jesus Christ at this point.  He is a man of war at this point and he is furious.

Exodus 15:3 The LORD [is] a man of war: the LORD [is] his name.

It will be a military conquest of supernatural, and epic proportions unlike the Earth has ever witnessed  It will in every sense of the word be an Earth changing event. There will be NO grace present with God at this point, just wrath. It’s a massive event in the Bible. It precedes the establishment of the Kingdom age which is a predominant theme in the word of God as well.

It is referenced in many prophetic books and the book of Revelation.  It’s hard to understand this with our finite minds but such events described in the Bible that are in the future are beyond our human comprehension.

There will be no stopping it, no amount of fortifications, no hiding places; nothing will be done by the governments that will impede His progress.  Nations and armies will gather together to stand before him, but it will come to naught.  Thousands upon thousands,  all of our inventions and weapons, all of our technology, firepower and weapons of mass destruction will have no affect on the Lord of Glory.

I imagine they will even pull out all the top secret fire power as well, all the weapons and prototypes in test phases; they will be forced to.  All the stops will be pulled, all the cards will played, all the pieces of the match will finally be set. It will make no difference. He is the true comic book hero, the real x-man, the real superman.

Whatever weapon they form against him, it will fizzle like a pop a gun!  They will then know that they are dealing with the very being that made the stars with his fingertips.  They will know it was all the work of his fingers.  They will know that they are created beings and not some evolved river sludge.

When the Lord opens up his armory and wields his weapons of indignation, they will then know that their doom is imminent.

Jeremiah 50:25 The LORD hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation: for this is the work of the Lord GOD of hosts in the land of the Chaldeans.

When the Lord Jesus Christ finally lands on Earth, in the wake and at the end of it, there will be a path of blood, fire and corpses of men, kings and rulers. In this path, roughly 300 miles long, stretching from Mt Sinai to Jerusalem will be the literal “valley of decision” cut through the earth.  No matter what is there now, it will be removed.

Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.

Joel 3:9-14 Proclaim ye this among the Gentiles; Prepare war, wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I [am] strong. Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD. Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about. Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness [is] great. Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD [is] near in the valley of decision.

Almost three hundred miles long is the Lords path at the 2nd Advent. The wide variations are given because the Lord takes a very specific path. It is not a straight shot.  This path has to do with unfulfilled prophecy concerning land and nations.

The path is first, from the south to north (Eze 21); From Sinai (Isa 19:1)  to Ezion-Geber or Edom (Joel 3:19), to Mt Seir (Ezekeil 35), then to Bozrah (Isa 34:6, 63:1, Jere 49:13, 22, Amos 1:12) then through the ancient city of Petra.

Afterwards, still going northward, it moves up  the famed “King’s Highway” (Isa 11:6, 19:23, 35:8, 40:3) moving up along the east side of the Dead Sea, on to Dibon (Isa 15:2, Jere 48:18), then through Heshbon (Isa 15:4, Isa 16, Jere 48, 49), then to Mt Nebo (Deut 32:49, Jere 48:1).

Then the path finally turns east to west towards Jerusalem.  Along through Jericho, crossing the Jordan river, heading towards Mt Olivet and the eastern gate.  Then it touches down tops on Mt. Olivet. That mountain will have it characteristics physically and supernaturally changed (Zech 14).

Now, seeing Mt. Sinai, Mt. Seir, Mt. Nebo, Mt. Olivet makes Song of Solomon 2:8 extremely relevant here. The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills. Handels Messiah, is the great classical work that sings about these things, but it is in a much darker light in the written word of God.

The Lord will literally be; passing over these mountains, or landing on them physically.  When these events occur, the mountains will be changed.  Some of these mountains may be laid to waste (Isa 42) or threshed (Isa 41) during the conquest of the Lord.  We know for sure “he will stand” on Mt Olivet in Jerusalem.

Any idols in the land, any established religions, any structures with imagery and idolatrous images will be absolutely leveled.  Most cities along this path will burn up towards the heavens like Sodom and Gomorra (Jere 49).

People will be hiding in the “clefts of the rock”.  They will be going into the mountains to attempt to escape the fire of his vengeance.

When the Lord is physically on Earth and he opens his mouth, it will be like a sword, it will be instrument of God that will consume the land and the inhabitants thereof.  It is set and made for blood and  violence and it will be somehow issuing forth out of the Lord’s mouth and possibly his right hand as well.  It is, the very spoken word of God on earth and it will accomplish it’s purpose.

“ah! It is made bright, it is wrapped up for the slaughter.”

Joel 2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

The “word” the “sword” that Jesus Christ wield is a physical thing. This is not a reference to the sword of the spirit.  It will search out evil literally in it’s path. Everything in it’s path that is not of God will be utterly consumed. That word, will not return void as Isaiah had said.  It shall not return to it’s sheathe.

The Lord Jesus Christ, our King, Priest and Savior has a sword and he has been holding it back for ages and ages.  It will be unlike any sword you have ever seen. It will be all consuming, it will be glittering, it will be set on fire of the purest flame, and it will be coming forth from his mouth.

It will purge, consume, refine, destroy and utterly lay waste.  It’s hard to picture these things but mark my words, it will accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55:11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 45:23 I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Romans 14:11 For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Jeremiah 12:12-13 The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the [one] end of the land even to the [other] end of the land: no flesh shall have peace. They have sown wheat, but shall reap thorns: they have put themselves to pain, [but] shall not profit: and they shall be ashamed of your revenues because of the fierce anger of the LORD.

Jeremiah 23:20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

Ezekeil 21:28bThe sword, the sword [is] drawn: for the slaughter [it is] furbished, to consume because of the glittering:

Again, this is not the sword of the spirit here.  There is no mistaking what it is. It seems to sometimes be called a Spear or Sickle as well - (Nahum 3:3 Hab 3:11, Revelation 14:16).  Not sure on this, maybe a spear is in His right hand?  The sword in these passages; It is the reaper, the waster, (Isaiah 54:16) and the destroying weapon of Gods choice.

Nahum 3:3 The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and [there is] a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and [there is] none end of [their] corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:

Habakuk 3:10-13 The mountains saw thee, [and] they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, [and] lifted up his hands on high. The sun [and] moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, [and] at the shining of thy glittering spear. Thou didst march through the land in indignation, thou didst thresh the heathen in anger. Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, [even] for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the house of the wicked, by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah.

This sword has to do with the anger of the Lord that has been kindling for six thousand years of human history and it’s relationship with the God of the Universe.  This sword is holding all the years of wrath the world and unbelievers have coming to them.  This wrath has been stayed by the grace of God dwelling on earth in the heart of believers, but once the believers are “translated”, things will be finally set into motion for the Lord’s vengeance.

All the rejections of His son and the gospel of the grace of God, all the murder, corruption, atrocities of man; the genocides, rapes, assaults, deviance, perversion, filth, dregs, lasciviousness, scorn, pride, lust, hatred, variance, wars, conflicts, injustices. Every word of unbelief, every time his name was cursed or used profanely, every time the gospel was scoffed, every time His name was reproached by our actions; this sword holds all of that!

It’s gonna be Old Testament man! The whole world will stand against God with spirits of devils, Kings, Presidents, Czars, Princes, whatever they are called today. They will stand against the sword of the Almighty.

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, [which] go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

This sword is a consuming fire that turns entire lands and regions into burning and blood on this Earth.  It will be a day of darkness for the inhabitants of the earth. He is going to show up on a white horse in His royal vesture; wield His sword, utter his word accompanied by a great pillar of smoke.

Thousands upon thousands of the redeemed behind Him, only there to be part of His army.  They have no offensive part in this battle. They are observers.  It will be a spectacle. Nations upon that Nation that has been deceived for centuries and centuries standing on a battlefield to stand against the Almighty.

Ezekiel 21:4-5 Seeing then that I will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of his sheath against all flesh from the south to the north: That all flesh may know that I the LORD have drawn forth my sword out of his sheath: it shall not return any more.

There will be no point where the evil standing against the Lord will think there will be a victory.  As soon as it begins, they will know it is over and they were deceived. There will be no hope. Literally.  The finality of having no hope will be real.  The power and scale of the word of his mouth will bring this terror and fear to the hearts of man. The Bible says “they will be horribly afraid”.  Centuries they rejected the written word, now, they recieve it differently, it’s audible, piercing and it literally incinerates.

Isaiah 54:16-17 Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue [that] shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This [is] the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness [is] of me, saith the LORD.

They will know that their prophet was wrong, they will know their religion is wrong, they will no their belief system and traditions they learned taught them nothing of salvation, they will know their science was wrong, their theory of evolution was wrong, all of it.  They will no their pope was wrong. They will know their professors were wrong; their educators were wrong.

Ezekeil 32:10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at [every] moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.

Revelation 1:16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance [was] as the sun shineth in his strength.

The Bible is very descriptive of this.  It is a winepress of blood! A total annihilation of any who stand against him. When the world finally sees the Lord of Glory arraign himself in a breastplate of righteousness, and unsheathe his glittering sword, the whole world will know then that he is I AM.  He will smite the nations, the mountains and the land.  He will tread the winepress alone.

The world will finally know that Jerusalem is His.  It will be a dictatorship. The King will be Jesus Christ, who was killed 2000 years ago by sinners.  He will rule the nations with a rod of iron.  All those who stand against Him, will be slain of him that sat upon the horse.

Revelation 19:11-16, 20-21 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Deuteronomy 32:41 If I whet my glittering sword, and mine hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to mine enemies, and will reward them that hate me.

All hail the power of Jesus name…
